good afternoon ！i’m very glad to make a speech here .today my topic “IS MONEY EVERYTHING?”
today more and more people want to get more MONEY , more and more people want to get a good job for more MONEY. if you have a rich family ,or your father IS a boss or a manager you’ll be glad. maybe you’re proud of that .
in a word ,they can do EVERYTHING they like with MONEY .they can get whatever they want .do you think so? my friends ,can MONEY really bring us EVERYTHING we want?
in a way,of course ,MONEY IS really very important to us all. without MONEY ,we can do nothing and can’t live on .
but we must know that MONEY can’t bring us EVERYTHING .with MONEY ,we can buy many things indeed ,but we can’t buy knowledge ,we can’t buy time ,we can’t buy true love and so on .
these are the most precious things in the world .if a person has none of them ,though he has a great deal of MONEY , he IS still poor .once i heard two men ,one IS rich ,but he felt lonely and sad ,when he was sick ,or when he was in trouble , no one came to help him .he had no good friends .he could’t enjoy himself even though he had so much MONEY .what a pity !
but the other felt happy every day ,because so many good friends loved him ,helped him .although he was poor ,he enjoyed himself . as we know ,who’s the richest person in the world ?you’ll tell me loudly “bill gates” right .he’s the richest person .and bill tells people “MONEY ISn’t EVERYTHING.”
so i should say to all of you ,my friends ,MONEY ISn’t EVERYTHING ,we can’t always think of MONEY first ,we should work hard ,we should be interested in our work .
as students ,we must work hard ,we can’t ask our parents to buy expensive coats to become rich .we can’t do anything wrong to make MONEY .
MONEY can’t bring us EVERYTHING ,we can’t become the servant of the MONEY .we should be the master of ourselves .come on ,we should think more about our study ,our parents .

MONEY IS not EVERYTHING
good evening! dear teachers and classmates, i’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech.my topic IS MONEY IS not EVERYTHING.
needless to say, MONEY IS not very important, but very very important.if there IS no MONEY, i can’t use thIS microphone to speak to you and we can’t have such a room to hold such a competition. without MONEY, we can’t study in such a schoolyard. without MONEY, we can’t live in such a hometown. without MONEY, we can’t have such a motherland. on the other hand, if there IS no MONEY, you don’t need to bear my speech about MONEY now.
most of us have dreams about the future, dreams of having a good job and making much MONEY. surely someone has thought at times “if only i had a lot of MONEY, i could be the happiest person in the world.” in fact it’s the main mIStake that people make about MONEY.
however, IS MONEY the road to happiness? not really! many people work every day, work overtime, work weekends to make a lot of MONEY. are they happy? no. they are too busy making MONEY. meanwhile, they have no time to form or to maintain friendship. they even lose the abilities to relax and to enjoy themselves. enjoying means taking things, taking time to see, to hear, to taste, to smell, to feel. they do not take time to do thIS. they say: “i’ll do it when i have enough MONEY to retire” then they find that it IS too late.
why we usually make such a mIStake and even more mIStakes? activISts say it IS because of MONEY itself. they think MONEY has changed many things. they even regard MONEY as the source of evil. in my opinion, it IS unfair to MONEY. MONEY IS a tool. well, there’s no denying that we do something harmful with MONEY. but we can’t say MONEY IS the source of evil.
MONEY IS neither good nor bad itself. it IS a mirror, a perfect and important mirror, and a mirror that reflects both the darkness and the brilliance of humanity. in other words, all depend on us. so, my fellow students, ladies and gentlemen,MONEY IS something,but MONEY IS not EVERYTHING!

IS MONEY EVERYTHING?at present some people think that MONEY IS EVERYTHING. they say that you can do EVERYTHING if you have MONEY. you can live in a beautiful house, keep a luxurious life and have all sorts of delicious food. i don"t think so.indeed, MONEY can buy a lot of things we need. but there are many, many wonderful things in the world that cannot be bought with MONEY.ask yourself, can MONEY really buy the happiness that your heart truly desires?

the reality that we should embrace IS that we need MONEY, but it does not follow that MONEY IS the only reason of our exIStence here on earth. MONEY IS important, but it IS not EVERYTHING. there are many factors that can create fulfillment here on earth, not MONEY alone. they are our family, our friends, and even our new acquaintances. they can help us grow and reach our goals. remember that MONEY IS only a material thing. it IS created for our convenience, but it should be used for right. it IS created for us to control; it IS not made to control us. imagine a person has enough MONEY to buy anything and EVERYTHING that he wants, but can you imagine that with only that resource that such a person could be truly happy and satISfied?
here IS a wife of richer,she says that"my husband works like a dog. i know that he will make it some day.but IS it worth it to neglect the family to strive? i"m trying to understand but sometimes i feel left out. he left me on the street cuz he needs to welcome hIS client at the airport, he don"t have lunch or dinner with me and the kids, i went to hIS friend wedding on behalf of him,he rushes all the time.i"m tired and bored."if your husband puts much energy on work and doesn"t give you or your children
the love and attention they need, you need to sit down and have a talk with your husband. make him aware that he IS neglecting you. you and your children need him. the children will later hate their father if you don"t put a stop to thIS now even if their father has always provide financial for them, he may not have provided all of the love he has to offer to them. love IS more important than MONEY!there are still many other things that cannot be bought with MONEY: health , life, happiness, friendship , love and so on.just think, if a person hasn＇t these things at all, IS the MONEY still useful? MONEY IS good but loving it makes it bad. we can work hard to earn more MONEY. we can sell our properties and our other belongings to have MONEY in emergencies. remember, we should work not only for the reason of receiving but also for the reason of giving.
